Treatment for Influenza and Covid

  • Tamiflu, Relenza,Xofluza and Rapivap ( IV)
  • Paxlovid and Molnupiravir ( for poor kidney function)

Hypertension

  • Systolic BP should be below 135. The lower the BP the better as long as not dizzy!!
  • Diastolic BP should be lower than 80.

Blood pressure 5-10 mmHg higher than normal over 10 to 20 years can cause a lot of damage to brain, heart and kidneys!!

High Cholesterol

  • Cholesterol should be less than 200
  • HDL the higher the better. Average about 50, below 40 is not so good
  • LDL should be less than 70 in Asians ( in USA less than 99 for general population)
  • Asians are more prone to small vessel diseases ( embolic stroke or bleeding stroke)!!!
